Engaging Our Boys

Our innovative and engaging workshops not only challenge boys and young men to critically think about their decisions, but more importantly teaches them how to apply the lessons taught to their day to day lives. Each workshop encompasses both mental and physical modules. Our studies conclude that when young men are tested in key life principles, and are challenged physically through martial arts training to apply them, the results are internalized.

Every workshop is lead by Shärath Jason Wilson. In 2003, he founded the Yunion: a faith-based youth development non-profit organization in the city of Detroit. Under his leadership, the Yunion has reached more than 10,000 youth and young adults through mentoring, prevention, and life skills programming. Mr. Wilson has been training in martial arts for over 22 years, and has an unrelenting passion for guiding and mentoring young African American males.

If you're interested in bringing one of our workshops to your school, church, or community center, please call 313.870.9771 for workshop titles and descriptions. Each workshop can also be configured to meet a specific need or address a situation.
