Summary/Objective:

We are accepting proposals from entrepreneurial, experienced, and innovative individuals to provide consultancy to our organization in the coordination of our Special Projects. This independent contractor/consultant will support the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for managing and coordinating a projects portfolio which includes local, state, and federal grants and contracts awarded to organization. This position will serve as a key point-of-contact for the implementation of multiple initiatives as identified by the Executive Director and / or Chief Operations Officer. The Special Projects Consultant will ensure that assigned projects meet compliance with established administrative and financial policies, procedures and business practices.

 

Essential Functions in the Scope of Work:

  • Responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and compliance of project-related activities specific to local, state and federal contracts awarded to The
  • Serve as the organization’s liaison with external program / project
  • Identify barriers to grant and contract compliance, and develop timely and sustainable remediation
  • Identify barriers to workflow, efficiency and participate in issue resolution with the Chief Operations Officer and external contracted
  • Organize / participate in monthly partnership meetings with external
  • Maintain oversight of contract terms to ensure ongoing organizational
  • Coordinate parent trainings and community service learning project
  • Ensure timely invoicing for services provided by the organization within timeframes identified in partnership
  • Assist with contractor invoice reconciliation with the Chief Operations Officer.

Required Qualifications for Contract Consideration:

  • Minimum one year of experience managing programs and services with a non-profit
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and communication
  • High level of customer service and support to internal and external
  • Strong computer literacy in Excel, Word and
  • Exceptional organizational
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare presentations and lead discussions that tailor information to the targeted

 

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is between $31,000 – $35,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

 

Expected Hours of Work

This is a contract position. Independent Contractor is expected to work 25-30 hours a week.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of human services and/or administration.
