PARENT OPEN HOUSE / TRAINING DAY FAQs
Click on the plus sign next to the questions below to see the answer.
May I bring my child(ren) to the Parent Open House/Training Day
Parents are encouraged to come “solo” and leave participants at home. If it is absolutely necessary to bring students, we will have some “light” activities in an adjacent room while parents are in their open house and training.
Why is the Parent Open House/Training required?
In order for students to receive a scholarship, it is mandatory for all parents to attend the Parent Training & Orientation. You will not only receive vital information about camp, but you will also be educated on issues surrounding trauma and its' influence on adolescent risk behaviors that affect the health and wellness of youth today through our “Trauma Informed Parenting” Training.
What happens if I skip or don't show up for the Parent Open House/Training Day?
Failure to attend will result in the revoking of the scholarship, and the remaining balance of the original camp price of $600 will be owed. Please refer to our refund policy for more details.
