JASON WILSON FOUNDER/CEO
Jason Wilson, Founder and President of the Yunion, has more than 20 years of programmatic experience in working with youth and young adults. Under his leadership, the Yunion has reached more than 10,000 youth and young adults in the metro-Detroit area through mentoring, prevention and life skills programming. Mr. Wilson has a relentless passion for guiding and mentoring young African American males, and currently leads our Cave of Adullam Transformational Training Academy.
NICOLE WILSON, RN, MBA/HCM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Nicole Wilson has served as the Yunion’s Executive Director since its’ inception and has more has more than 17 years of management experience and an additional eight years of programmatic experience working with at-risk youth and families. Mrs. Wilson is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and a Masters of Business Administration in Health Care Management from the University of Phoenix. She is also a state certified HIV Prevention Test Counselor and trainer.
RONALD LEE, JR. PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Ron Lee Jr. has more than 20 years of youth programming experience and has been in his current position with the Yunion for more than 10 years. Starting with the Yunion as a producer and facilitator, Ron’s passion is an incomparable asset to the youth and families that we serve.
CHRISTOPHER NORRIS EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATIVE ASST/ CATTA LEAD ASSISTANT
Christopher Norris has served with the Yunion in his current roles since 2012. He has an Associates in General Business and has worked with youth in mentoring, counseling and teaching roles for the past decade.
Keri Wallace Operations Coordinator
With her passion for the Non-Profit sector, Higher Education, Technology, and Finance, she has excelled in Project and Program Management, Operations/ Facilities Management, and Partner Relations for some of Michigan’s most astute institutions. Awarded the “Best Paper Award” from the Michigan Association for Institutional Research for her Data Analysis, Keri has a Bachelor of Arts from Oakland University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwood University.
ARTAVIA HUNTER Administrative Coordinator
Artavia Hunter has worked with the Yunion since 2018 and is currently serving as a Human Resources Specialist. Artavia has superior organizational skills and administrative experience. She earned a Bachelor’s and a Master of Business Administration from Davenport University.
Karonna Funderburg Lead Workforce Development Case Manager
Karonna Funderburg has served as a Lead Workforce Development Case Manager for the Yunion since 2019. Karonna also has over 16 years of youth and community-centered leadership experience. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy.
Chandra Haliburton Workforce Development Case Manager
Chandra Haliburton serves as a Workforce Development Case Manager for the Yunion. Her versatile background includes counseling, psychology, human services, and case management. Chandra has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wilberforce University and a Master of Science in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University.
Adesola Holmes Workforce Development Case Manager
Adesola Holmes started with the Yunion 2017 and currently serves as a Workforce Development Case Manager. She has several social services certifications and is projected to earn her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services from the University of Michigan this year
SERENA EAGAN, LMSW CASE MANAGEMENT FIELD SUPERVISOR
Serena has been in her role with the Yuinon since 2013. She has a strong background in working with youth and families as a social worker, specifically youth with special needs. Serena received her BA in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and her MSW from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor.
Sidney Bishop Case Manager
Sidney Bishop has worked with youth and families for over 20 years and currently serves as a Case Manager for the Yunion. Sidney earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Grambling State University.
Chantel Brown Program Coordinator
Chantel Brown has provided extensive educational advising and guidance to students for over 25 years and currently serves as a Program Coordinator for the Yunion. She possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Communications from Ferris State University and a Master of Arts in Education-Sport Administration from Wayne State University.
Dionna Jackson Program Assistant
Dionna Jackson started with the Yunion in 2012 as a Life Guide and currently serves with the Yunion as a Program Assistant. She has over 14 years of customer service experience along with a variety of skills.

Lamont Conley started with the Yunion in 2017 as a Life Guide and currently serves as a Case Manager. He has proven his passion and dedication to serving youth and the community through his hands-on experience. Lamont earned his Bachelor of Social Work from Wayne State University.
