We must meet boys where they are, instead of where we want them to be—everyone is unique. So when they fail, don’t condemn them—encourage them to release their negative emotions and reflect on what they could have done better or need to do, so they can reset and move forward! It’s imperative that we teach our The Cave of Adullam Transformational Training Academy recruits how to do this in the moment of emotional conflict instead of after a detrimental action has been taken.
