Find Someone Willing To Grow With You
As a middle-schooler, I experienced the most depression when I tried to fit into friendships that compromised who I really was. It was imperative that I shared this wisdom with my son because I never want him trying to build relationships with boys who will never be his friend. Since my son is a kindhearted young man, I encouraged him to seek relationships with the boys who are not “cool.” I said, “Son, there you’ll find someone willing to grow with you, instead of someone who wants to keep you beneath them.
