In Diversity there is Beauty and there is Strenght

Continuing the conversation today on bullying in honor of #bullyingpreventionmonth. We are going more in-depth about kids who are perceived as different and how they are at an increased risk of being bullied.
As parents, it is our job to teach our children that there is beauty and strength in our differences. This helps boost self-confidence, self-awareness, and even gives the courage to stand up to a bully if needed. πŸ’™
Understanding these differences also helps teens develop a sense of empathy. Learning about what can make someone special and how is a great life skill to acquire. And over time, they might even begin to celebrate these differences! πŸŽ‰ Within themselves and with others.
