HOPE Alerts SMS Terms of Use

Last updated: August 26, 2026

These SMS Terms of Use govern HOPE Alerts, an internal text-message notification service operated by The Yunion for designated staff members. These terms supplement The Yunion’s main Privacy Policy and apply specifically to participation in HOPE Alerts.

Program Description

HOPE Alerts notifies designated Yunion staff members when a program participant may need timely follow-up or support. This allows the appropriate staff members to respond promptly.

Messages do not include participant names, contact information, or other identifying personal details. Staff members must continue to follow all Yunion confidentiality, privacy, and information-security policies when responding to an alert.

Eligibility

Participation is limited to Yunion staff members designated by organizational leadership. There is no public enrollment.

Program participants, family members, and members of the general public do not receive HOPE Alerts and cannot enroll in the service.

Enrollment and Consent

Before enrollment, each designated staff member must review and sign a written acknowledgment and consent form. A Yunion administrator will add the staff member’s mobile telephone number to the notification list only after receiving the signed form.

Participation is voluntary. Staff members may withdraw their consent and opt out at any time.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on program activity. Designated staff members typically receive fewer than five messages per month.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile service plan. The Yunion is not responsible for fees or charges imposed by your mobile carrier.

Opting Out

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any HOPE Alerts message. You will receive one final confirmation message, after which no additional messages will be sent to your number.

You may also opt out by contacting a Yunion administrator. To re-enroll, contact a Yunion administrator and complete any required acknowledgment or consent process.

Getting Help

Reply HELP to any HOPE Alerts message for assistance, or contact The Yunion using the information below.

Carriers and Message Delivery

Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to carrier and network availability and is not guaranteed.

HOPE Alerts should not be relied upon as the sole method of communication during an emergency or urgent situation. Staff members must continue to follow all Yunion emergency-response and escalation procedures.

Administrative Removal

The Yunion may remove a staff member from HOPE Alerts if the staff member’s role, responsibilities, employment status, or eligibility for the service changes.

Changes to These Terms

The Yunion may update these terms periodically. When appropriate, participating staff members will be notified of material changes. Continued participation after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those terms.

SMS Privacy Notice

For information about how mobile telephone numbers and related SMS data are collected, used, stored, and protected, please review the HOPE Alerts SMS Privacy Notice. To enroll in these alerts, complete the SMS Enrollment Form.

Questions or Requests Regarding Your Information
