If It’s God’s Will, I Will

A good brother and my idol

Keith was a good brother and my idol, but due to his “profession”, the Most High never allowed us to develop the closer connection I so desperately wanted. Eventually that lifestyle took his life. Yes we all will reap what we sow—but it hurts when it’s your bro. The personalized plate on one of my brother’s drag-racing cars had the inscription “If It’s God’s Will, I Will.” I remember one day asking him, “Why do you have that plate on your car when it seems like God’s will doesn’t matter?” Almost repentantly, he answered, “All I can do is try.” Rest in peace, my dear brother. Rest in peace. ‪
