ALLOW YOURSELF TO HAVE WEAK MOMENTS INSTEAD OF A WEAK MINDSET
Thanks Devon Still for your courageous transparency and thank you my friend Lewis Howes for giving men a platform to be huMAN!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Brother Devon, I too allowed misconstrued masculinity hinder my expression of love for my daughter. I will never forget when she slammed her finger in my car door at 8 years old. She showed no emotion to the pain because at that time in my life, I didn’t know how to #CryLikeAMan—I just a male defined only by masculine attributes. I could see the pain in her eyes and that she wanted to cry—but she did not want to disappoint me by not being “tough.”

As I shared in my book #CryLikeAMan—I apologized to my Alexis for subconsciously teaching her to hide her emotions. Today I am so thankful that I am a comprehensive man—courageous but compassionate, strong but sensitive, freely living from my heart and not my fears.
