How ironic is it that the word nigger sounds like a mispronunciation of Negus (an Ethiopian King)? DID YOU KNOW: Under the leadership of Emperor Menelik (a Negus), Ethiopia resisted European attempts to colonize all of Ethiopia. Also at the Battle of Adowa (December 1895), Ethiopia won a decisive victory over Italy in its attempt to colonize their country.

Although Italy with the help of Germany, eventually took possession of the northern territories in 1936, Ethiopia regained its independence in 1941—so please do not miss the principle of my post. Never allow the emotion associated with a word to change its definition.
