Youth Empowerment – Learning and Innovation
Let’s give it up for our youth participants who had a blast during our Talent Tour event with Detroit Hives at the MSU-Detroit Partnership for Learning and Innovation (DPFLI) center!
🎉 We’re so proud of the 18 engaged youth from our Career Readiness program who got to experience “A Day in the Life Of” two phenomenal Nonprofit Executives and Certified Beekeepers. 🐝
During this event, our youth learned about the educational requirements and training, day-to-day operations, and various career paths in the nonprofit, conservation, and art and design industries.
It was an amazing opportunity to celebrate Food & Agriculture month and to showcase Detroit Hives, a nonprofit organization that is making a difference in the community. By transforming vacant lots into pollinator friendly spaces in the heart of Detroit, Detroit Hives is creating sustainable communities and bee populations.
🌼 We’re grateful for the knowledge and inspiration that Detroit Hives provided to our youth, and we can’t wait to see how they use it to make a positive impact in their own communities. 🌟
