4 Tips to Help With Mental Health!

𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, 𝘸𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺! ⁣

Here are four helpful tips you and your children may want to start implementing!👇⁣

1️⃣. 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘢 𝘑𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭 – Tracking your day-to-day mood can give you time to pause and reflect on how you’re feeling, especially if you’ve noticed that you’re particularly upset or depressed. It’s also a good way to record important milestones and positive, exciting things that are going on in your life.⁣

2️⃣. 𝘜𝘯𝘱𝘭𝘶𝘨 – Most of the things we do and tasks we have require technology to some degree. But, taking some time off of computers and phones can be a helpful way to clear your mind and spend a few quiet moments to yourself.⁣

3️⃣. 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘓𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘦𝘴 – Sometimes, when stressful situations or emotions arise, it can be difficult to cope. Creating a physical list of soothing activities can be a helpful visual reminder. Anything can be on this list as long as it is comforting to you and not harmful!⁣

4️⃣. 𝘈𝘴𝘬 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱 – Requesting help is not easy, but it is sometimes necessary. If you’re starting to feel overwhelmed, reach out to someone you trust. Create a network of friends and others (teachers, extended family, etc.) who you can fall back on for support.⁣

If you want more information on these steps, or just someone to talk to, the Yunion is here to support you! Feel free to send us a message and we’d be happy to help! 💙
