“Parenthood is About Guiding the Next Generation and Forgiving the Last.”

“𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭.”⁣
Parents, we have a very challenging, yet honorable job. On one hand, we are teaching and training our children to be the best version of themselves so they can live fulfilled and successful lives.🌟
And on the other hand, we are gaining perspective and seeing things from our parent’s point of view. We are forgiving them for their short comings because they were learning just as we are. ⁣
Being a parent allows us the ability to give and receive grace and forgiveness. Remember to give your child the grace that you wished you received from your parents. But make sure to also forgive your parents, because you now see how stressful parenting can be, and that it doesn’t come with a guide or manual. ⁣
Are you needing some guidance on grace and forgiveness? Comment a 💙 down below or message us! We would love to walk through this season with you.⁣

My brothers: When we cannot receive love and affirmation from each other—we will never be able to attain the healing we so desperately desire. ALLOW YOURSELF TO HAVE WEAK MOMENTS INSTEAD OF A WEAK MINDSET

August 18, 2019

Brother Devon, I too allowed misconstrued masculinity hinder my expression of love for my daughter. I will never forget when she slammed her finger in my car door at 8 years old. She showed no emotion to the pain because at that time in my life, I didn’t know how to #CryLikeAMan—I just a male defined only by masculine attributes.
