Sexual Risk Avoidance Education

Great day meeting with our state legislators to advocate for sexual risk avoidance education in the City of Detroit and metropolitan area. The Yunion provides teen pregnancy, substance abuse, and HIV/STD prevention programming to 1000 youth across 3 counties in Southeastern Michigan. It was a pleasure to have two of our youth advisory council members, Bryce Tucker and Christian Henderson, represent The Yunion. They did a fantastic job! #Ascend #DayontheHill #teenpregnancyprevention #SRAworks#theyunion #lovingyouth #UnitingFamilies

ALLOW YOURSELF TO HAVE WEAK MOMENTS INSTEAD OF A WEAK MINDSET

August 18, 2019

Brother Devon, I too allowed misconstrued masculinity hinder my expression of love for my daughter. I will never forget when she slammed her finger in my car door at 8 years old. She showed no emotion to the pain because at that time in my life, I didn’t know how to #CryLikeAMan—I just a male defined only by masculine attributes.

Have a break!

August 6, 2019

The worst thing a man can do—is base his existence on what he does. On average, women live longer than men. In fact, by age 85… 67% of those living are women. I pray one day we, men, will find our worth in more than…
