Yunion Student Highlight of the month:
Robert M. is this month’s Yunion student of the of month. Robert is a participant in Our Partner program JOURNi More Than Code Program.
Hear what are staff has to say about Robert’s Progress in our program.
“He is always on time for the sessions, and he participates and engages when he is present. There is one more character trait that Robert exercises that we don’t see in as many students as we would like to and that is Robert speaks up for himself in class. If he doesn’t understand something he makes sure he ask questions to get clarity.
It seems like a simple thing yet there’s a lot of students his age that don’t take that initiative. Every time Robert speaks up, it’s an opportunity for our instructors to explain something in a different way and take a step in making sure that the class understands the overall goal for the class.
We’ve talked to Robert about how powerful it is to ask questions and in a way that advocates for himself. We’re appreciative of Robert’s willingness to participate in the program and doing something that seems as simple as asking questions.”
