Youth Advisory Design Team (YADT)
🔊 𝘚𝘏𝘖𝘜𝘛 𝘖𝘜𝘛 𝘛𝘐𝘔𝘌!
We are so proud of our 8 Youth Advisory Design Team (YADT) members who presented their final ideas for the Yunion’s multi-purpose and music spaces!
These students had to apply design thinking, project management skills, budgeting and interior design principals for this project!
Each one received feedback on their presentations from Executive Director Nicole Wilson, the lead interior designer on the Yunion’s building Kim Wagern, and John Tagle of John Tagle Associates, Inc, Architects and Planners! 👏 All while presenting in front of an audience of 50 guests!
We wanted our students to know that their hard work and efforts are valued, so they were paid for their participation. Their design ideas will be implemented into those spaces as we prepare for the building’s grand opening, expected to be early 2022. How exciting will it be to see their ideas come to life!?
Thank you @generatorzfuture and @rcwjrf for this amazing opportunity. The Yunion and our students are forever grateful for the knowledge and growth that this has provided.
Celebrate with us and congratulate our Youth Advisory Design Team below in the comments! 🎉
A long day working to get our new space ready for the new year!
My son did an excellent job helping me frame, board up and apply the first coat of mud to a wall.
Never Suppress—always express!
It’s okay to be nervous—we just can’t let it or any emotion stop us from doing what needs to be done in order to accomplish our goals!

3 Truths
I was one of them—fearing my wife would take advantage of my heart, so I guarded it from her. This almost cost us our marriage. But when I learned how to #CryLikeAMan

Stop Suffering In Silence
Men—as long as we stay in an abandoned house, we will always feel marooned, trapped and isolated in an inaccessible place.
Thankful to be apart of something so powerful!
It’s been a year in the making and although the process was emotionally draining at times—I am thankful to be apart of something so powerful!
When we break free from misconstrued masculinity
Men—when we break free from misconstrued masculinity and #CryLikeAMan, we are free to live from our hearts and no longer our fears.
SOMETIMES ACCEPTING THINGS IS CHANGING THINGS
Remaining in a season that has passed will cause frustration, hurt and disappointment.
YOU CAN’T DO EVERYTHING
If I did not pick the thing I “should do,” I would have stayed there all night trying to complete everything on my “To Do” list.

Don’t Let Words Have Power Over You!
Our founder Jason Wilson was honored to be invited by Sean Anderson Foundation, Detroit Lions and Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan
Avoid the very appearance of evil
Just because you endured and overcame a temptation, life-threatening situation or relationship—does not mean you are to go back to it! For it’s written, “avoid the very appearance of evil.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:22
I DON’T KNOW WHERE YOU ARE BUT I WILL FIND YOU AND I WILL LOVE YOU
There’s always a “cause and effect” to every action! I tell you the truth—I’ve witnessed “discipline” drive boys away but I’ve never seen encouragement fail to bring them back.
I Had A Blessed Time
I’m always humbled when someone asks me to sign my book, but when this brother shared with me how #CryLikeAMan impacted his life, then showed me all the highlighted pages—I was deeply moved!
