Louis Morgan III

BOARD MEMBER

Louis Morgan III is a naïve Detroiter. A Cass Tech High School graduate, he attended Grand Valley State on scholarship with plans to be a teacher before falling in love with the hospitality industry and changing career paths.

Louis has more than 15 years of experience in the industry, the past six with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR). He began his Ocean Prime career in Indianapolis serving various roles before returning home and being promoted to Beverage Manager of the Ocean Prime Troy location. Louis quickly rose through the ranks becoming Assistant General Manager and then General Manager. Named GM of the Year in 2016 and 2017, under Louis’ leadership, his restaurant also won 2016 Restaurant of the Year. The CMR executive team voted in Louis as Operating Partner in 2017. He is the youngest to achieve that title. He is currently the General Manager at the Ocean Prime Chicago location. Louis is dedicated to family. He is the happily married and proud father of two sons.
